The $100K Combating Terrorism Technology Startup Challenge

The MIT Enterprise Forum of Israel and the US Department of Defense Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO/TSWG), are pleased to announce
the 2015 $100K Combating Terrorism Technology Startup Challenge:
*First prize of $100,000 to the most promising security startup
*Others prizes include VC Mentorship and introductions to Government and Industry sponsors and programs
*Finals and award ceremony January 21, 2015 (in Tel Aviv)
*Online entry portal will be open between October 8 and November 14, 2014
The purpose of the challenge is to identify promising new security technologies and to encourage entrepreneurs and inventors to focus their innovative talents on the critical need for counter-terrorism and homeland defense technologies.

*The most promising startups will be invited to give live presentations at the MIT Enterprise Forum of Israel, Combating Terrorism Technology Conference in Tel Aviv on January 21, 2015.
*A panel of distinguished international judges from the government, security industry, academia, and venture capital communities will select one of the presenting companies to receive a $100,000 prize contributed by the US Department of Defense, CTTSO
*Runners up will receive high-level mentorship by venture capital and government sponsors, as well as introductions to programs that are relevant to their technologies.
Startup entry criteria:
*The challenge is open to any startup developing innovative technology for counter-terrorism and/or home-land security applications.
*The challenge is for startups only (companies must have less than $10M in investment or cumulative revenue).
*The technology must already have proof-of-concept (for example, at least laboratory prototype).
*Cyber technologies are not eligible for this challenge.
